Cheese Biscuits
1/2 pound sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 pound butter, softened
2 cups flour
Paprika
Confectioners' sugar
Almond slivers
Mix cheese and butter; mash, then cream thoroughly. Add flour to mixture and mix well. Add paprika for color. Shape into logs and chill.
Slice thin and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar and press almond slivers into center. Bake at 375 degrees F for 8 minutes. May be prepared in advance.
Yields 5 dozen.
